What to know
The School of Computer Science is part of the Faculty of Engineering and does research in AI, machine learning, algorithms, visualization, complex systems and security. According to the school, more than 1,000 students are enrolled in its main bachelor's program, the Bachelor of Advanced Computing. Source
The Faculty of Engineering has a dedicated AI and machine learning research area with three themes: learning algorithms, data-driven decisions and the theoretical foundations of AI. Current work includes deep neural networks for computer vision and reinforcement learning for autonomous vehicles. Source
The Australian Centre for Robotics builds autonomous robots with companies in mining, agriculture, aviation and freight logistics. A separate group at the center studies the seafloor with autonomous underwater vehicles. Source
The Master of Data Science is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). The accreditation, at the professional entry level, is valid until the end of 2029. Source
Admission for international students
The application steps for international students are on a single page.
